At the Cantaloupe booth, operators, retailers, and industry partners got a firsthand look at how self-service retail continues to evolve beyond traditional vending. In case we missed you in LA, here’s a little recap of the exciting solutions we showcased at the NAMA Show 2026:
NAMA 2026 was all about innovation, and we were excited to bring some of the industry’s newest self-service technology to the show floor.
At the Cantaloupe booth, operators, retailers, and industry partners got a firsthand look at how self-service retail continues to evolve beyond traditional vending. From AI-powered software to hot food automation and next-generation Smart Store technology, this year’s showcase focused on helping operators grow revenue, expand into new locations, and create better consumer experiences.
In case we missed you in LA, here’s a little recap of the exciting solutions we showcased at the NAMA Show 2026:
One of the biggest highlights at the booth was Seed Navigator, a new operational intelligence tool designed to help operators make faster, smarter decisions.
Built within the Seed Pro ecosystem, Navigator gives operators a clearer picture of their business with AI-powered insights, route optimization tools, and enhanced operational visibility. Instead of digging through spreadsheets and disconnected systems, operators can quickly identify opportunities to improve efficiency and better manage their day-to-day operations.
As fuel costs and operational complexity continue to rise, operators are looking for ways to do more without adding headcount. Seed Navigator helps solve that challenge by turning operational data into actionable recommendations that save time and improve performance.
Attendees also spent plenty of time exploring the latest additions to the Smart Store lineup — especially Hot Hold technology.
Hot Hold expands Smart Store capabilities beyond snacks and cold beverages by allowing operators to offer fresh, hot food. From breakfast sandwiches and pizza to hot meals and grab-and-go comfort food, Hot Hold creates new possibilities for locations where consumers want quick meal options without waiting in line.
Since the Hot Hold loads from the back, it is extremely convenient for placements in hospital cafeterias, airport restaurants, quick service restaurants, and more. Combined with Cantaloupe’s Smart Store technology, operators can create secure, frictionless retail experiences that expands their routes while delivering a modern consumer experience.
Shaffle stood out for showing how unattended retail can go beyond snacks and drinks — and into everyday convenience for residential spaces. The platform combines automation with self-service rental capabilities, allowing residents to quickly access and return shared items like tools, household equipment, and other high-use products without staff involvement.
That flexibility generated strong interest from operators exploring solutions for multifamily housing, student housing, and other residential environments where convenience and accessibility are increasingly expected.
More importantly, Shaffle highlighted a broader shift happening across self-service retail: operators are looking for ways to extend unattended technology beyond traditional retail transactions and into practical, everyday services.
The excitement around Shaffle reinforced a growing trend in self-service retail: consumers want convenient access to products and services wherever they live, work, and spend time — and they increasingly expect those experiences to be fast, seamless, and self-service.
One of the most talked-about attractions in the booth was our partnership with ColdSnap, which drew consistent crowds throughout the event.
ColdSnap’s on-demand frozen treat technology gave attendees a glimpse into how premium food experiences can fit into unattended retail environments. The technology creates frozen desserts and beverages on demand in a compact footprint, making it an exciting option for locations where traditional foodservice operations may not be practical.
ColdSnap has strong potential across airports, entertainment venues, hotels, universities, workplace environments, and residential buildings — especially as operators continue looking for new ways to increase ticket sizes and expand beyond traditional vending products.
We also demonstrated Campus Card integration for Smart Stores, showing how colleges and universities can create a frictionless retail experience for students.
With Campus Cards enabled, students can use existing campus credentials to make purchases directly within Smart Stores, creating a seamless buying experience without needing separate payment methods. Campus environments continue to be a major growth area for self-service retail, and integrated payment experiences help operators drive higher engagement and sales across campus locations.
