Editing menu items on a Handheld now works the same way as on a POS. Long press an item on the handheld to efficiently change any item name, price or availability on the spot. When changing an item, users will be required to enter the admin pin, and the information changed via the Handheld (such as a price change) will also be reflected in reporting.
If a device’s printer settings are set for remote or cloud printing but the device is in Offline Mode, the Handheld will print a kitchen receipt with the message “Please provide this copy to the attendant” on top, which should prompt the server to physically hand the kitchen receipt to the kitchen attendant(s). These receipts will print regardless of what the kitchen receipt settings on the Handheld are set to. This is a new feature for handhelds.
On the device, press the icon to access the device login details. All sales and tip information will be displayed on this screen and can be printed with the touch of a button.
Items marked as “Sold Out” via the toggle seen below on the menu will be reflected in real time on POS/HH. This feature also works backwards, so if you’ve marked an item as sold out on the POS/HH itself, those items will also be reflected as sold out in PWA.
Click on the blue hyperlinked “total transactions” number to jump into a report that details how many orders had a specific convenience fee applied at any revenue center on a given day.
EX: Row 1 shows there were 1,888 transactions on 7/16/24 with a $0 convenience fee included in the payout total $69, 498.97.
