Product, platform, reporting, and Cheq in Action updates for April 2025.
Improve Suites user and guest experience by expanding feature capabilities via POS. In addition to editing orders, attendants and managers can also apply house account and place last minute pre-orders via the POS on the fly. Note that Suite attendants will be logged out after 6 minutes of inactivity, though suite Managers will remain logged in indefinitely. Reach out to your account manager to learn more.
The suite attendant/manager does not need to take any action to activate this feature; once the order is closed, the invoice is automatically sent.
The system will treat the Saved Value card as a loyalty program, and record how much value is left on the card. Customers can see this value on their receipt. Currently, the Cheq team will apply loaded value as instructed by you (the partner); PWA UI for setting loaded values on it’s way to you soon!
Note: Any transaction with saved value applied, will record that saved value total in the ‘Loyalty Amount Column’ in Cheq Sales Report. The Cheq Saved Value Card cannot be stacked with other loyalty providers.
This is applicable for all 3rd party loyalty providers. Reporting will not change, and you’ll still see discounts & Loyalty in their respective reports.
Suite Managers can now exempt specific suite owners from the Service charge, improving guest experience & decreasing management refunds. If the suite manager changes the ‘Service Charge’ status in the customer profile, the changes will only reflect on future orders. The feature will not affect orders already placed in the past or pre-orders already placed for future events.
This feature is on a Revenue Center by Revenue Center basis, so each business can have different limits per order. Please ensure all alcoholic items are tagged as ‘Alcohol’ in their SKU to ensure the feature works properly.
The Component tab in the SKU template now allows suite managers to include all required Equipment/Components on the SKU, which will show on the chit, KDS & reporting.
Suite managers can now add Components and Equipment totals into the SKU and view the totals via the Component & Equipment Total Report. (See components feature highlighted above for more information).
The Menu Item Detail report now has an additional table, allowing users to view Menu Mix data by item name or by SKU Name. The new table allows users to sort in each column by item name OR item SKU.
The Sales-By time report now allows users to filter in the Sales report by 15 and 60 minute time bands. These reports will both still have the 15 minute lag you’re used to.
