Q: Will my machine require an additional accessory to use the ePort Engage?

While most machine makes and models can function normally without any additional accessories, some machines (particularly older models) may require a firmware update or additional accessories to function.Please refer to the Engage Compatibility Chart for minimum firmware requirements.

Q: What machine issues might indicate that a Zero Volt DEX Cable is needed for my machine?

A: If your machine does not schedule its standard DEX after installing the Engage reader with a standard DEX cable, this may mean that a Zero Volt DEX Cable is needed. Please refer to the Engage Compatibility Chart to see if your machine type indicates that a Zero Volt DEX cable is required. If you still are running into issues, reach out to customer support at 1-888-561-4748 for additional assistance.

Q: Will my existing MDB extension cables (ePort or Seed) work with the ePort Engage Device?

A: Yes, existing MDB cables and extensions used on ePorts and Seed devices are compatible with the Engage.

Q: Who should I contact if I’m experiencing issues with my ePort Engage Device?

Q: My drivers DEX with a handheld when they service a machine (not using Seed VMS), do I need any special accessories?

A: Yes, you will need a DEX Y Cable to enable this functionality for drivers. Please refer to our Accessories List for more details on the cable.
